                 HOW CAN PAKISTAN

                   BECOME A STRONG NATION

By Syed Yasir Ali Shah Masoomi (student of Saint Mary’s High School Sukkur)

In the modern world, the world goes to him who is the fittest and the most tactful. For our survival as an independent nation, it is essential to build it on modern lines.

A strong economy, development of industries, enlistment of manpower, utilization of natural resources, are some of the imperatives of permanence and strength of a country. The first requirement is the expansion of industries on an elaborate scale, and employment of skilled and unskilled workers. The panorama should include large scale, small industries and the cottage industries. This will provide a chance of progress to all pillars and enterprises of the state. The development in science and technology is also necessary.

The farmers should be given ample of opportunities because, they play the key role in the economic development of our country. But, our farmers are a bit hesitant to adopt non-mechanized farming, they are still using the animal dung a fertilizer and an old plough, our farmers should be acquainted to the new things necessary for increasing the rate of Pakistan’s agriculture. This measure will contribute self-sufficiency in economy and in other agricultural products.

There are many defects in our education system. It is examination-ridden. The need of technical and vocational centers is far more from the centers present in our country. More and more people should get technical and vocational education. Vocational and industrial centers should be set up in all district towns of Pakistan. But, Pakistan still direly need to develop in Industrialization because, only those countries are considered as developed which are developed in industries. Research facilities should also be increased.

In order to make Pakistan strong nation we should strictly adhere to the principles of Islam. Islam is a source of strength and unity. We should re-model our political social moral and economic lives according to the teachings of Islam. We should not forget that Pakistan was created because the Muslims wanted to put Islamic ideals into practice.

Defense is yet another field which demands our full attention. We should take a lesson from our past. We are surrounded by hostile countries. It is the clarion call of the hour to rise and face the challenges of our well-equipped neighbours and rivals. The debacle of 1971 has awakened the people and they will not forgive any serious mistake. Our forces should be trained on modern lines. To become a strong nation for Pakistan it is necessary to create good-will between Pakistan and other Muslim states existing in this world. In this way the entire trade system of Pakistan will also be developed because, with the creation of good-will between nations, the newly created products will also be introduced with other nation and they will express their wish to have that product, marketed in their country. Embezzlement is yet another issue which is a hamartia for Pakistan and has put a bad impression of Pakistan on its juvenile, but since the juvenile is Pakistani they are extremely vigorous for doing something special in order to develop this country. We need to alter this problem which is embezzlement. Corruption is an interception for the development of Pakistan.

Unless the above given measures are not resolved, Pakistan cannot become stronger.
